Skill Plans and How They Work

Skill Plans and Skill Catalogue

A Skill Plan is an ordered list of skill levels with specific goals, which you can create and keep track of to follow your training progress. With skill plans a player is able to build a list of skills without needing to buy and inject them first. Skills can also be added to the skill queue without adding them to a skill plan if the player prefers. The windows within the Skills Menu have four settings which can be selected by hovering over the box at the top of the screen.

Personal Plans

The skill plans section is a new feature which enables players to share lists of skills with each other. Players can share their skill plans in a variety of ways; in a chat, EVE Mail, corp bulletin, or save them in their notes or ship fitting descriptions. Each character can save up to ten Personal Skill Plans. Characters can start - or continue - training a plan by moving its contents to their training queue with one click of a button.

 

Filter

Allows players to filter skills by specific groups:

  • All skills
  • My skills
  • Can Train Now
  • Have Prerequisites For

 

Skill search

Allows the player to search for a specific skill. The skills displayed within a selected category will change to list the skills which match the current search filter in real-time.

 

Skill Categories

Allows players to select a specific group of skills by category

 

Skills per selected category

Lists the skills in the selected category

 

Skill plan content

Lists the skills in the current skill plan

 

Current set milestones

Up to five Milestones can be set in a skill plan. Milestones represent the main objectives of a skill plan and can be used to track progress towards its completion. When sharing a skill plan with other players, Milestones are included, providing an easy way to communicate the goals of the skill plan.

 

Name of skill plan

Here the name of the skill plan can be set. This name will be displayed when linking the plan to other players.

 

Description of skill plan

A text box to describe the plan's goals. It allows the inclusion of links.

 

Clear

Removes all milestones and skills from the current plan.

 

Save skill plan

Saves the plan using the name from the Name of skill plan

If you do not have all the required skill books in the plan you are applying, you will see a red book icon to the right of the skill name. If you click said icon it will open a window with all the skill books listed. You can buy individual books there or you can click on the Buy Missing Skillbooks button at the bottom of the window. This will open another window where you can choose to buy and inject missing books or check the market for the missing books to see if you can get them for a lower price. If you click the Check on Market option it will open a multi buy window and search for the skillbooks on the market in your current region.

 

Certified plans

Skill plans designed by EVE Academy to optimize progression towards your chosen career path.

 

Personal plans

Skill plans saved to your personal collection after creation or when copied from shared plans.

 

Active Training queue

Skills currently being trained.

 

Pause Training

To train a different character on the same account players will need to pause their current training in order to activate training on a different character. 

 

Expert systems

Allows players to rent skills for a specific task for a week.

 

Apply skill points.

With skill injectors, players can add unallocated skill points to their character. These points can then be applied to skills using the apply skill points button.

Skill Catalogue

The skill catalogue is where you can review your skills as well as add skills directly to your skill training queue. Here the skill queue can be paused, or skill points rented for a specific ship. Unallocated skill points can be added directly to a skill in training.

Corporation skill plans

Players gain access to Corporation skill plans once they join a player owned corporation. Corporation skill plans can be managed by players with CEO, Director, or Skill Plan Manager roles. Being able to manage roles means being able to create, save, or delete skill plans. All members of a player corporation can view and share their corporation's skill plans. Shared plans can be viewed by anyone; even by players outside of the corp for which they were created.

Corporation Plan Management

To manage corporation skill plans you will need one of the following roles.

  • CEO
  • Director
  • Skill Plan Manager

Maximum Number of corporation plans.

A corporation can save a maximum of 100 plans as corporation plans. Plans are divided into one of four categories.

  • Explorer
  • Enforcer
  • Industrialist
  • Soldier of fortune

  3. Share a Skill Plan by dragging the icon into chat
  4. Permanently remove this skill plan from your saved skill plans. This action can not be undone.
  5. Show skill plan contents.
  6. Track or untrack this plan
  7. Shows any missing skill books. Clicking the icon will open a window with the option to buy the missing skill books.
  8. Adds skills to your training queue from this plan
