Overview
To comply with tax regulations, CCP is automating sales tax determination for all US & Canadian taxing jurisdictions. This means that sales tax will be automatically applied to digital purchases, including subscriptions for EVE Online, where applicable.
Why is This Change Happening?
CCP is required by law to collect and remit sales tax on purchases made in the US & Canada. Automating this process ensures compliance with local tax regulations and provides transparency regarding tax charges.
What’s Changing?
Appropriate sales tax will be added to the price of digital items and subscriptions for affected users. This change ensures customers are charged the correct sales tax amount based on location.
How Will This Affect Me?
-
If you are in the US or Canada, your purchases may now include applicable sales tax.
-
If you have a recurring subscription, the adjusted price, including tax, will take effect at your next renewal, after implementation.
-
This change does not affect customers outside of the US and Canada.
