Studio Visitation Policy

Studio Visitation Policy

From time to time we receive requests from members of the community, educational institutions and other organizations to visit CCP’s studios for a tour of our facilities.

This policy is a set of guidelines that details visits to our development studios, how and when you can get in touch with us to organize a visit, what information you need to provide in order to request a visit to CCP, and any requirements and restrictions that are placed on visitors who come to CCP.

CCP Games has three studios in the following locations:

  • Reykjavik – Iceland
  • London – UK
  • Shanghai – China

Typically, we only offer visits and guided tours of our headquarters in Reykjavik, the studio in which we develop EVE Online. However, on a case by case basis exceptions can be made for visits to our other studios, depending on individual circumstances and the current workload of the requested location.

Studio Visit dates and times:

Studio visits are available only during core business hours. These hours are 10:00-16:00 local time, Monday to Friday.

Please be aware that for military personnel or veterans who are passing through our studio locations during transit, we may be able to make exceptions for after hours tours on a case by case basis, depending on schedule. Please contact us!

CCP does not offer studio visits in any of our locations outside these hours, on weekends, or on national holidays / bank holidays.

In addition to this, we may decline requests for studio tours around key development dates, such as the weeks running up to a major expansion on one of our titles, before the annual EVE Fanfest, or at other times during which our studios are experiencing higher than usual levels of activity.

The absolute maximum number of people that are permitted on any one studio visit is 20 at our headquarters in Iceland, however this number is reduced for our smaller studios.

Please be aware that if a visitor arrives at a CCP location without a time confirmed in advance for a studio visit, they will not be permitted access to the building beyond our reception area for security reasons.

How to request a visit to CCP Games:

All requests for visits to our studios should be made via email to officetours@ccpgames.com

When emailing to request a visit, you should include the following information:

  • Which office the visitation request is for.
  • The preferred time and date of the visit.
  • Number of attendees that will be attending the visit.
  • The full name and nationality of each attendee visiting.
  • The organization that attendees are visiting on behalf of (if applicable).
  • Whether or not each individual is a player of one or more of our products.

We aim to be as flexible as possible when organizing tours of our studios, but we do reserve the right to decline requests for tours if the timing is deemed to conflict with already established plans, if the requested time is too close to a major announcement of event, or if there are potential security concerns given current events or the time of year that the visit will take place.

Visitor Guidelines:

We are more than happy to welcome visitors into the home of CCP, and offer a tour of our studio facilities.

There are a few things to remember when attending a visit, so here is a handy short FAQ to give more information about visiting CCP:

How long in advance should I request a tour?

You should contact officetours@ccpgames.com a minimum of two weeks before your preferred date for a tour. For security and internal scheduling purposes, we need at least 10 working days of notice to ensure that office tours are timetabled correctly.

Can I stop by CCP without a scheduled Tour?

For security and scheduling reasons, we cannot offer studio visits on a walk-in basis. Typically, it isn’t recommended to arrive at our offices without a prior appointment, as we are unable to grant unscheduled visitors access to the building beyond our reception area in these cases.

Do I need to sign any paperwork in order to visit CCP?

All visitors who venture further into our studio than our reception areas will need to sign a visitor’s non-disclosure agreement. This is due to the fact that there may be sensitive information on display on whiteboards and walls around our development areas.

Can I take photographs in CCP’s offices?

While you’re more than welcome to take photos of our reception area and games room, photography and all forms of recording are strictly prohibited in our development areas. Any areas in which you can photograph will be pointed out by your tour guide.

Can I interview or speak with specific Developers while visiting CCP?

If you’d like to arrange an interview with a specific member of CCP staff, you should always contact media@ccpgames.com in order to do so. We don’t provide the opportunity for staff interviews during tours of our studios, however if you see any of our developers around the office that you recognize while you’re visiting, you’re more than welcome to say hi!

In what languages do you offer studio tours?

While all requests for studio visits must be made in English via officetours@ccpgames.com, we can sometimes arrange for office tours to be hosted in the languages that we support. These are Russian, German and French. Please specify this when you request a studio visit if you’d like to explore the option, and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Do you have a store at CCP where I can buy spaceship swag?

Our store is located online only, and ships from the west coast of the United States, so unfortunately we’re not able to offer a store for purchasing items at any of our studio locations.
