Application developers and forum administrators can use EVE Online Single sign on to enable login to their tools and websites using EVE Online account authentication. This removes the need of having multiple usernames and passwords for various sites and tools that are used with EVE Online. When a user logs into an application using the SSO the application may ask for permission query for certain information about the character or characters on the account which the user can approve.
The information which can be accessed is the same as the information available through API keys. No personally identifiable information is available through this service.
Managing permissions for third party applications.
To manage these access permissions log into the help center and select Third party applications from the left menu pane.
Changing a corporation or leaving/switching alliance.
If a character changes a corporation or the corporation leaves an alliance it is recommended that the user logs into the help center and makes sure that no Third party application still has access to character information that should no longer have that access.
